My client, Mark, is a perfect case study.
Mark is a retired U.S. Army Ranger, War Veteran, and the Founder of Ranger’s Guardian Dogs (an expert dog breeder, trainer and consultant in beautiful, Irasburg Vermont).
The purpose of Mark’s business is to help create a better life for him, his dear wife (and business partner) Jess, and their beloved pack of Central Asian Shepherd, Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGDs).
When we first met, Mark didn’t have any clarity. No brand identity. Not a single word of copy. No website. No GMB profile. And he wasn’t sure where to start.

My Origin Story
Where it all began…
I began studying graphic and web design in high school, in 2001. Not because someone told me to, but because I was genuinely obsessed with creating things.
A few months after graduation, in 2002, that obsession collided with a dream my best friend Jayson and I had been brainstorming together: a unique clothing brand. We called it Klever Clothing Company.
No playbook. No investors. No marketing agency.
We bootstrapped everything with our own money, bought our own printing equipment, and printed every single piece by hand.
We believed that if you built something real and put genuine heart into it, people would find it.
And they did. Pro-skater Andy MacDonald started wearing our gear. The guys from Blink-182 were sporting our swag. We did local fashion shows, threw parties at skate parks, and made memories that still make me smile.
Epic Adventure & Entrepreneurial Education
It was an epic adventure and my first real education in entrepreneurship, creativity, and what it truly costs to market something when you’re figuring it all out on your own.
We disbanded Klever a few years later. But the lessons? Those never left me.
The full journey, built one chapter at a time.
I’ve never been someone who does just one thing. Every chapter of my life has added a new skill, a new perspective, a new layer of understanding about people, about business, and about what it actually takes to build something that lasts.
USB Thumbs: We Bring More Power to You
Here’s one of the graphics I created back in 2021 for my unique eCommerce brand, called USB Thumbs.
This venture was like a masterclass on Shopify, eCom design, dropshipping, product creation, product listing SEO, and email marketing.
Looking back now, I can see that everything was connected.
The hands-on trades work sharpened my ability to execute under pressure, and the value of paying close attention to detail (quality assurance, and quality control).
The eCommerce ventures gave me a real-world laboratory for design, email marketing, conversion rate optimization, SEO, product marketing, and early AI research.
And the deliberate planning phase before launching PassiveProfits.io meant that when I finally opened the doors, I was ready.

Translating homeowners’ visions into blueprints, room by room.

Building sites before most people knew what a CMS was.
2012
Went deep into SEO
Building organic visibility when it still took real craft, patience, and intuition.
2015
Commercial Solar Foreman
Stepped away from digital work and in less than two years worked my way up to running crews building large-scale solar arrays across the East Coast.
2017–2021
Launched 3 eCommerce brands across 3 different niches
Dove deep into eCom SEO, product listing optimization, email marketing, and early AI research, learning what was coming before most people were paying attention.
2024
Planning phase for PassiveProfits.io
Spent a full year laying the foundation: strategy, positioning, service model, and strategic partnerships, before ever opening the doors.
2025
Launched PassiveProfits.io
Established official partnerships with Jotform, NP Accel (the full-service digital marketing agency owned by NP Digital), GoHighLevel, GreenGeeks, HubSpot, and The Hoth, then launched the full-service agency.
2026
